Bio-Inspired model of motivation influenced by phisiological needs

Research Abstract:

We are working on the development of a computational architecture of motivation based on Neuroscience and Psychology. The motivation is a process that begins a guided behavior and holds it, based on an impulse or stimuli arisen in the human of form internal o external.

The internal impulses are only physiological needs that it is the result of homeostatic imbalance. Some physiological needs are hunger, thirst, corporal temperature, sleep, etc. Thus, the impulse starts a behavior, satisfied the need and to finishes the behavior, with the objective of return a homeostatic or stable state.

Besides homeostatic influences to satisfy a need, there are hedonic, where emotional system plays a role important.
