Computational model of motor planning for virtual creatures based on neuroscience

Research Abstract:

The project consists in the study of planning, one of the cognitive functions of the most important human that guide the behavior and the resolution of problems. In this work is designed a computational model that simulates the cognitive function of planning. The design is based on neuroscience, psychologist, and physiologist, to obtain a model that resembles the behavior of the human in the creation and implementation of plans. The model will be part of the cognitive architecture Kuayolotl developed by the working group. We believe that the investigation can be applied in areas such as Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Cognitive Computing, Virtual Reality, Simulation, among others, where it is required to provide the virtual creature's capabilities to solve problems in an autonomous manner similar to the process that made humans.
